Well I was saying that a N/Me or E/Me can do almost anything a PvE mesmer can do, only with better energy management. and yes, strength is a joke.

The best thing in elona for my mesmer were ancient armor and primeval mask dyed black that gave me an evil look ...
...and which suprised me people actually wanted me in their party i had no problem finding party for group

...well just came to Domain of Anguish so i dunno about there...

And Coloneh how do you expect N/Me and E/Me to interrupt good as mesmer without fast casting?

I did try a fascinating build against Abbadon with my Mesmer. I built this one NOT to be the primary damage dealer. More a support build.

Me/P
1) Empathy
2) Ether Feast
3) Energy Burn
4) Unnatural signet
5) Res sig
6) Mantra of inscriptions
7) Cautery signet (elite)
8) Remedy signet

This was used to not worry about the dazing affect and a fast cast on signets in order to get the others back in check. Using this, and a normal band of people (one monk hero included), beat Abbadon in 13:45.

IMHO [skill]Wastrel's Worry[/skill] is teh skill when you want to eat bosses in Prophecies and Nightfall.

Using signets is a good idea during the last fight indeed, as you get dazed a lot and get morale bonuses very often.

So a Signet Master build is in order against Abbadon with compliments by Wastrel? Interesting...

When you get to Varesh, pack Ineptitude, Clumsiness, Empathy... Ah, hell, just grab a bar full of anti-melee hexes (that conveniently work against Paragons as well) and watch her die. You can pull her out by herself for both forms, so it's pretty easy to Hero/Hench it in less than 8 minutes (especially if you grab 2 SF Heroes and put "They're on Fire!" on Morgahn's bar). It's much easier to do it that way than to look for a decent PUG that can not only accept the fact that Mesmers rock some PvE socks, but can also complete the mission in an equal or less amount of time.

Just to add my 2 cents... I've found a real use for Chaos Storm. Abaddon. He can't run from it.

I still wish Chaos Storm stuck to it's target... sigh...

SP is still a pretty nice skill after the nerf. Moreso in PvP than PvE though.

Yesterday I used SP a couple of times in AB.
There were enough spirits around to do some serious damage.
I can think of a couple PvE of areas it will also work great.
The skill is now what it should be, imho.

I actually like running an anti-enchanters spike in elona now(and now in most of factions). You can pretty much just sneeze on things and they die.

Empathy
Backfire (yeah, I know, the two most standard skills for a mesmers bar >_<)
Enchanter's Conundrum{E}
Shatter Delusions
Shatter Enchantment
Drain Enchantment
Ether Feast
Energy Mangement skill of choice, or a rez

Would anyone else have any suggestions, or found where certain places where an issue for you to find a group/complete a mission?

The only problem now is that SP was nerfed so it only does 79 damage at 16 domination. It used to be a great spike skill, but now Energy Burn and Energy Surge are the best bet. However, the AoE for the spirits is a nice buff and is worth using in PvP against spirit spam teams.

Mistrust is an awsome skill, along with Wastrel's Demise. Web of Disruption is an AMAZING interrupt skill, especially against eles and necros.

I haven't found any need for groups in NF with my mes, i have hero/henched it all the way so far.

i would go illusion, i still love ineptitude, lethal to the foolish spellcasters who wand in PvE (and PvP >_>), and the rangers just keep attacking away, its really satisfying

Web of Disruption: the skill that shatter delusions has had wet dreams about for 2 years. So nice. As for mesmers spots I think nightfall is perfect for the mes as there is always something casting/enchanting or that will be dead quicker with that interupt (and less A's chasing you arround with needles). Domain of Fear was a snap with power block and abaddon sure didn't like IW.

I got bored one day, and decided to run the Searing Flames nuker (pve build) as a mesmer primary. Worked nicely with fast casting, I gotta say. I just had to make use of glyphs and some inspiration magic

PS: Bramble Blade = HAWT for IW

PPS: For those having trouble finding groups in PvE, try advertising yourself as "Monks shutdown and hardcore hex removal", most groups with a brain will LOOOVE you in Realm of Torment missions where slowdowns rape you.

After trying a few times, you are correct. This skill works wonders against Abbadon. Since he sheds hexes quickly, at max domination, it's 68 damage per cast, which he sheds in 1 second instead of the normal 3. With that signet build I had earlier, you usually can fire off 7 of those in the time he's vulnerable.

With this build, I have assisted guild members/alliance members thru this one, with the kicker being finishing in 11:35 with 2 others and 5 heros.

My Abbadon build (Me/P) now is:
1) Empathy
2) Ether Feast
3) Energy Burn
4) Wastrals Worry
5) Res sig
6) Mantra of Inscriptions
7) Cautery Signet (E)
8) Remedy signet
